my daughter's marriage Empty my daughter's marriage

Post  Katy Sat Apr 11, 2009 9:40 pm

We just spent a weekend with my daughter and her husband of six years, and I am so thrilled at the marriage they have. They have a two year old daughter, and her husband is just great in the way he pitches in and helps with her care. My daughter tells him regularly how much she appreciates his help and every time she compliments him, it seems to charge his batteries even more. That in turn charges her batteries. I know that having toddlers at home can be a stressor, but when a mom and dad can encourage each other and cooperate with each other daily, it has a major positive effect on the marriage. I wish all husbands and wives could commit to being there for one other as they take care of the children's needs.

I'd say this wife is lucky. It's nice to know that some men still take the role of equal partner seriously. Does he have a twin brother?
