a wish for my husband

i wish my husband continues to grow in our relationship and that i grow along with him, on parallel tracks. too often, people grow apart over time, only because they fail to properly communicate. i wish that i can drop my defenses and be vulnerable, expressing my needs in a safe and relaxed marital environment, and that my husband recognizes my vulnerabilites and strengths, and that i may inspire him to be a better man for us, for our children, and for society.

A person who has a spouse as supportive as you, has to feel a need to fulfill a "wish list" as you described! Those of us who are married know that our relationships are works in progress and it takes both parties actively striving to make it as good as it can get. "...and they lived happily ever after"
