no criticism

Post  Meg on Mon May 04, 2009 4:55 pm

I just saw Dr. C's video that talked about criticism and I couldn't agree with him more. Critics are so oblivious to the damage they bring to the marriage. If there was one thing I'd like to see less of in my marriage, it would be gripy critical statements that really don't add to the overall good. I'm going to make it my goal to try to stop it. The old saying is if you can't say anything good about someone, maybe you don't need to say anything at all.

yes, it's a lot harder to argue with someone when you don't say anything back. eventually, the one lobbing the insults runs out of things to say. silent

critics are insecure

People who specialize in criticism are very insecure. It's like if they don't get their way, they are going to fall apart.
